4 Energy Boosting Ideas

Do you ever feel like you could do with an energy boost? I’ll often sit around and think I’m tired, this is mainly due to the fact my son keeps me awake at night but here are four brilliant and easy ways to get you raring to go in seconds.

1. Exercise at night

According to a Japanese study, hitting the gym in the evening can make you less tired the next day. This is due to the increased levels of testosterone, which increase energy metabolism. Exercise also increases the number of energy-producing mitochondria in the cells.

2. Drink green tea

Green tea can boost your energy and endurance by up to 40%. A study in the American Journal Of Clinical Nutrition said that the catechins in the tea speed up the conversion of fat into energy, so not only does it encourage energy output but it’ll help reveal your six pack too.

3. Smell the coffee

Researchers at Seoul University say that just a whiff of coffee could be enough to wake you up. The tests were carried out on sleep-starved rats but they believe the aroma is strong enough to boost fatigue-fighting humans too.

4. Suck a mint

US researches believe that peppermint can freshen up your energy levels as much as your breath. They discovered that the smell of mint allowed athletes to run faster and longer with less effort.

Thanks,
