A compound move is any weight-bearing lift that involves movement at more than one joint. They&#8217;re often referred to as &#8216;more bang for your buck&#8217; exercises because each rep hits multiple muscle groups. For example:</p>

<li>Deadlifts</li>
<li>Pull-ups</li>
<li>Bench Press</li>
<li>Military Press</li>
</ul>
